It becomes a frustrating cycle of smoking, trying to quit, smoking, trying to quit. You end up thinking it just isn't going to happen. But giving up would be your biggest mistake.

There are so many options available to assist in quitting from gum to patches to hypnosis. And it's hard to really know what works best. A study done by the American Cancer Society showed that 91% of America's 46 million ex-smokers quit entirely on their own.

While this may surprise you, remember that most still get support. There are numerous websites available that educate, give advice, and offer support. No matter how you quit, support is a key. So what you do to quit may be slightly different then someone else you know.

Educate yourself on all the options out there and there success rates. Use them to gauge how serious the challenge is. Once you decide to quit, there should be one main rule: no nicotine today.
