Internet savvy mobile users are being wooed by the arrival of the new Nokia touch-screen mobile. Basically a computer that fits into the palm of your hand, its touch-screen allows you to easily navigate the web, with easier access than ever to sites like Myspace and Facebook, as well as to gaming sites.

It really has everything you could ask for from a state-of-the-art piece of mobile technology, with its internet capabilities being the real selling point. This is the second Nokia touch screen phone to hit the market, the first being their Nokia 5800 XpressMusic model.

Their latest model provides mobile users with an ergonomically designed mini-computer which slips into the pocket. Produced with the internet firmly in mind it allows easy streaming of Flash videos and games. As well as its tilting touch screen, there is also a QWERTY keyboard meaning that users have even more control when emailing, texting or blogging.

The features included are wall-to-wall top of the range technologies and include all that you could possibly want from a computer, never mind a phone. You can expect to find a maximum memory capacity of 64GB, the now ubiquitous 5 mega-pixel camera and video recorder, Bluetooth and built-in MP3 and multimedia player. The great news for users with friends and relatives overseas is that this unit is also Skype compatible, meaning that free calls worldwide are easily accessible.

Despite its huge multimedia capabilities, the N97 has a solid standby time of 18 days, 17 when operating in 3G. And you can talk for almost a full ten hours before the battery will want a recharge. Over nine hours of non-stop chat time available as standard.

The real advance made here though is with the introduction of So-Lo, or Social Location technology. The mobile phone handset contains an integrated electronic compass and A-GPS sensors which mean the phone knows exactly where it is 24 hours a day, 7 days week, 365 days of the year.

The screen can be used as a compass too in a new concept that Nokia have called Social Location. The Social part is in there because it means that you and other Nokia N97 users that you are in contact with can let each other know where you are geographically allowing you to find each other more easily.
